Rising Sun
Bio
Rising Sun is the production alias of Steffen Laschinski, a producer and multiple record label curator from Berlin.
The producer, DJ and label boss Steffen Laschinski, a.k.a. Rising Sun, has a long track record in the field of electronic music. His labels Styrax and Kristofferson Kristofferson have attained cult status amongst DJs and record collectors alike. With releases from Larry Heard, Ron Trent, Shed, Baby Ford, and Herbert – to name but a few – the labels have become a staple in sets from distinguished international DJs and are often sold at exorbitant prices online.
Laschinski has become an institution as a DJ and producer with his project Rising Sun, achieving recognition for the unique emotional depth to his style. His music weaves together melancholic narratives to move the listener on an emotional level, eschewing the cliché of house purely designed for the dance floor.
Dubbed by music magazine Das Filter as the “godfather of outsider house”, Rising Sun received unanimous praise in the press for his last album Lamentations Of Rising Sun, with Groove naming it as one of their favourites/album of the month. In addition to this, his releases on the renowned labels Workshop, Real Soon, and Just Another Beat can often be heard on top international dance floors.
The intense emotional quality of Rising Sun’s music has united various camps of listeners and gained popularity with audiences around the globe. His hit “Lift Up Your Faces” became a ritual closing track of the notorious Amnesia Club in Ibiza.
As a DJ, Rising Sun stands for traditional, historically aware house and techno in the vein of Basic Channel, Detroit, and deep house, yet he still maintains a keen ear for fresh and new sounds.
He is currently working on new releases and remixes for famous international labels.
“This is not a simple release, it’s a gift to the entire human kind…enjoy it.” doubledash2, 2011 (YouTube)

The Exaltics
Bio
Releases on Bunker Records, Crème Organization, Clone West Coast Series, TRUST, SolarOneMusic …
Based in the humble city of Jena in central Germany, Robert Witschakowski-Jockel started producing music in the late-’90s, during which time he was resident DJ and booker of Kassablanca. His tenure there proved influential in bringing the likes of Jeff Mills, Robert Hood and Claude Young to the city’s nascent club scene for the first time, where he remains a pivotal figurehead of Germany’s electro-tipped underground. With mixes netted for Resident Advisor, Electronic Explorations and Digital Tsunami, to the CD release of We Are Not Your Friends Vol 1, Robert’s work as The Exaltics is no longer exclusive to the tight-nit circles of street-wise DJs, producers and label owners alike.
With a live acid show now in full swing, Robert’s performances as The Exaltics have seen him tour Europe and dominate Berlin, billed in 2017 alongside a huge cast of acts for Tresor & DJ Stingray’s Kern Vol 4 release party. With the bulk of Robert’s music now released on his ever-growing Solar One Music, the label he runs with Crotaphytus collaborator and life-long friend Nico Jagiella, Robert’s world of shadowy electro has gravitated to, among others, discerning imprints like Shipwrec, Clone West Coast Series and Crème Organization. Robert has collaborated with Drexciya’s Gerald Donald for Solar Music’s Hubble Telescope Series as Project STS-31, and Arne Weinberg as Val_Ex, with Gerard Hanson (aka Convextion) also welcomed into the Solar One Music fray under his E.R.P. alias. Add names Helena Hauff, Ekman, Drvg Cvltvre and the late Andreas Ghem to the body of artists delivering Solar One Music its lone aesthetic, Robert’s purism and integrity to his field of science fiction, acid-influenced electro is undeniable.

Van Bonn
Bio
If you would go fishing to the wide and deep lake next to mount dub, you can expect to find Van Bonn sitting there – right in the moment to catch huge delays and frequence modulations to create the next dubby excursion, which he is known for.
More than 20 years ago Van Bonn started his musical journey. He collected his first experience in producing electronic music using tracker programs, played drums in the metal/hardcore band Muad’dib, created ambience and fx in the instrumental rock outfit Long Distance Calling, shaped abstract and layered ambient landscapes with his alter ego Kadrage and played collaborative concerts in experimental music genres, scored and sound designed movies, clips and homepages. Yes, he also held a club residency in his hometown Münster over a couple of years.
He found his music in the top 40 sales charts and on worldwide dj playlists. A couple of labels who released music with his contribution are Superball, telrae, Traum and Trapez next to sampler contributions on M_nus and fabric. To enable Van Bonn to release his very own vision of sound, he founded Van Bonn Records. Over the years he played hundreds of stages over Europe ranging from huge festivals and clubs to squatted swimming pools. He shared stages with artists and bands such as Opeth, Deftones, Mogwai, Roisin Murphy, Youth of Today, Snapcase, Minilogue and Max Cooper, among countless others.
Now, he enjoys to go fishing to mount dub. And all the experience he gathers along his ride contribute as inspiration for Van Bonn’s next dubby journey to be created.
